KUALA LUMPUR, 28 September 2026 — HEYDOC Health Sdn. Bhd. and HansMed Modern TCM Sdn. Bhd. are proposing an integrated digital Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) service that connects virtual consultations, AI-driven tongue screening and doorstep delivery of appropriate TCM medicinal products making access to practitioner-led care more convenient for people in Malaysia’s major cities.
The proposed collaboration combines HEYDOC’s digital healthcare capabilities and network with HansMed’s TCM expertise. Its ambition is to bring the patient journey together: from an initial digital screening and consultation through to practitioner recommendations, product fulfilment and follow-up.
Patients would be able to submit tongue images for AI-assisted screening and consult a qualified TCM practitioner remotely. The practitioner would consider the screening output alongside symptoms, medical history and other relevant information to determine appropriate next steps. Where suitable, recommended TCM medicinal products could then be delivered to the patient’s doorstep within designated service areas.
“People increasingly expect healthcare to fit into their daily lives. Our ambition is to make access to TCM simpler, from connecting with a practitioner remotely to receiving appropriate medicinal products at home,” said Dr. Raymond Choy, CEO of HEYDOC “By bringing digital access, AI-assisted screening and delivery into one service, we aim to create another therapeutic option for our community with a more convenient and connected care experience.”
The AI-driven tongue screening component is intended to support practitioner assessment, rather than provide a standalone diagnosis or replace clinical judgement. Patients who require physical examination or care beyond the scope of a virtual consultation would be directed to appropriate in-person services.
“Technology can help us connect with patients and support continuity of care, while keeping the practitioner central to assessment and treatment decisions,” said Dr. Chris Hee ,Director of HansMed. “This collaboration would bring our TCM expertise closer to people who value the convenience of remote consultations and home delivery.”
The parties envisage a phased rollout across selected major Malaysian cities. Launch locations, service availability, eligible medicinal products, delivery coverage and pricing will be announced once clinical, operational and applicable regulatory requirements have been addressed.
From tongue to treatment, HEYDOC and HansMed share a clear ambition: to bring practitioner-led TCM closer to home, connecting AI-assisted screening, virtual consultations and medicinal product delivery in one seamless patient journey.
